Established in 1933, it has grown to become one of the largest outdoor rodeos in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) circuit, consistently ranking in the top 30 PRCA rodeos for payout and drawing top athletes from across the country. Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo is sanctioned by both the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association, both of which serve as the largest sanctioning bodies in the sport. Money won in Guymon counts toward qualifications to the National Finals Rodeo, which takes place in Las Vegas.
